25 Days of Christmas: Day 4 & Day 5

Day 4: Christmas Movies

We add a movie each year (or try to). This year we added "The Santa Clause" Collection.

Day 5: Christmas Chaos

Nothing worse than having spent the day decorating a tree with family for it to fall over but that's exactly what ours did this year. We've never had this happen. Fortunately loss was not extreme. The whole tree went heading for the ground - with me under it! Everyone acted quickly. We manged to get it before it completely landed on the ground but at least 1/2 the ornaments hit the floor. The rest were not where they had been placed on the tree. The lights are all completely shifted. We had to empty the tree and set it up all over again. It's now anchored to the walls. We're not sure what caused it but all precautions have been taken to make sure it doesn't happen again.
We only lost 1 ornament; which was shocking. 2 others had to be glued together but looking at them you'd never know they'd had an accident. We really should have lost more but grateful we did not.
Tomorrow we'll redecorate.....

25 Days of Christmas: Day 3

"Christmas is a time of little time.
How we get there is a mystery.
Racing madly mall-to-mall, we climb
Into fields of sunlit harmony.
Shopping, cooking, clearing walks and yards,
Trimming house and tree while working, too;
Making phone calls, wrapping, writing cards,
As all worn out we do what we must do
So that this day of joy might joy renew."
